With the release of Windows 11, Microsoft has retired Internet Explorer and recommends using Edge as their default browser. This means that Internet Explorer browser will not show in the taskbar to users. To support their Office, Microsoft has integrated IE in their Edge browser.
Webcare and Other Browsers
Webcare supports and works fully on all modern browsers, we recommend you use the latest versions available. This includes Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Internet Explorer, and browsers in Android and iOS.

Enable Advanced Editing & Multiple Documents Uploads
Some organisations use Webcare to live-edit their documents. For instance, they use the Documents section to upload their documents, then once uploaded they can then click on a document and make changes without the need for downloading it first.
This integration is only possible with Internet Explorer or Edge, as Microsoft has provisioned these browsers to work with Office.
For those specific staff who require live-editing of documents, we suggest Microsoft’s recommendation to run Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge →
To enable Internet Explorer to run inside Edge, please open the Edge browser.
You can either enter in the Url bar: edge://settings/defaultBrowser
Or, go to the 3 dots in the top right hand corner to drop down the menu. Then select Settings.
Click Default browser.
Under the heading Internet Explorer Compatibility, go to the title Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode (IE Mode), select Allow.
Optionally, you can also Add your Webcare sites under the ‘Internet Explorer mode pages’. This means that your Webcare system will always open in IE mode.
The pages will be:
https://XXXX.webcare.net.nz
https://XXXX-app.webcare.net.nz
(XXXX is the Url of your organisation e.g. https://demo.webcare.net.nz and
https://demo-app.webcare.net.nz)
4. Once these changes are done, please restart Edge.
You will be able to tell you're in IE mode by the icon next to the address bar.
There is also a button that allows you to toggle in and out of IE mode easily.
If this icon is not available. You can turn it on by going back to Settings - Appearance - scroll down until you get to Internet Explorer mode (IE mode) button, toggle to on.
