To access Staff Leave, click from the menu along the top of Webcare.
Select a Staff name from the list - The Staff profile will open.
Select Leave from the Side Menu Bar.
Creating a Leave Request
To create a leave request. Click on + Add Leave Request.
The Leave form will open, the sections with a red star are mandatory fields and will need an entry.
- Select a Leave Type, this can be Annual Leave, Bereavement Leave, Sick Leave, ALT Leave (Lieu), LWOP (Leave without Pay) or Other. *
- Select your name from the Staff List. (You can start typing your name to filter the results) *
- Add a Start Date. *
- Add an End Date. *
- Write a reason for taking the Leave. *
- Add any other comments about the Leave request. (eg Sophie is happy to cover my shift)
- Click Submit Leave.
Your Leave Request will now show in the list below the Leave Form Submission. This list shows all of the Leave you have submitted grouped by Month.
Clicking on Details will bring up the Staff Leave Details box, this shows the details of the Leave, Total Days and the Leave Request submitted date.
This icon next to your Leave Request , lets you know the staff member who approves leave has been notified of your request.
Below is the Key to the icons on the left side of your Leave Request:

In the example below, our Leave request is still showing as Pending.
Editing a Submitted Leave Request
To edit a Leave Request, click on the request from the list. The Edit button will now be available, Click Edit.
The Edit Leave Form will open, make the changes to your request.
You can see below we have changed the End Date and added additional information to the Reason for Leave and Comments.
Click on Submit Leave.
Now when we click on Details, it will show the edited details and the when the Leave Request had been modified.
Cancelling a Submitted Leave Request
To cancel a Leave Request, click on the request from the list. The Cancel Leave Request button will now be available, Click Cancel Leave Request.
The Cancel Leave Request box will open. Enter the reason for cancellation, then click Save.
The Leave Request will now show a different icon and Status.
Messaging Staff
You can message staff from the Staff Leave page. Click Message Staff.
Enter the Title of the message, the content of the message, then select the staff member you want the message to go to from the drop down list (this will also show who uses the Webcare app).
Click Send Message.
If the staff member uses the Webcare App, they will get a notification on their mobile, otherwise all notifications will be on the Staff Communications page.
